CSIC 100: Introduction to Immigration Policy and Practice

This course helps the students know about the key terminologies and resources about the immigration sector. In this course, the students will get the opportunity to read more about the immigration history of Canada. They will also learn about the current political and legal framework that regulates the immigration system of the country. The course elaborates on the different types of immigration in Canada. However, this is just a sneak peek. Each of the types will be explored in the later courses. In this course, however, the students start working with the simulated clients. 

CSIC 100B:Client Engagement research

In this course, the students get to explore research tools, legal precedents that are significant for the immigration program, and resources. The students will also have in-depth knowledge about the fundamental principles of admissibility and eligibility. Here, they will be able to apply their acquired knowledge to the immigration case studies. 

CSIC 101: Economic Class

In this Global Specialist Courses, the students will know about different types of economic migration. The course will help them to know about the territorial, provincial, federal, and Quebec economic categories through different case studies, discussions, and quizzes. The students will learn about different tools and get many tips that they can use in practice later. 

CSIC 102: Family Case

In this course, the students will learn to identify the Common-Law Partner or Members of the Family Class and Spouse in Canada. The course will also cover all the aspects of applications that the students should know in this course. They will also know about the admissibility and eligibility requirements of the members of these classes. The case studies will help the students to do in-depth research about this sector, and assess applications concerning the Family Class and Spouse or Common-law Partner in Canada.

CSIC 103: Temporary class

There are different types of temporary working categories in Canada that this course will elaborate to the students. With the help of this course, the students will gain in-depth knowledge about the categories like working, visiting, and studying in Canada. The case studies will help the students to understand the conditions of study, work, visa, and getting permanent residency in Canada. CSIC 104: Appeals, Admissibility Hearings and Detentions

This course will help the students to learn about the reviewing process of admissibility examinations, hearings, detentions, and appeals. It will help them to detect people alleged to be inadmissible and the process that they should follow until there is an issuance of an order or removal or admission into the country. They will know about the removal orders and appealing process to the immigration appeals board and the possible outcomes of the appeals so that they can advise their clients about it. This course will also help them to learn about detention reviews and related legal procedures. 

CSIC 104B: hearings and Appeals Advanced

In this Global Specialist Courses, the students will get the chance to explore a continuous case study of a sponsorship appeal. The case study will help them go beyond the theory and fundamentals and elaborate on the progression of an appeal right from the beginning to the end. This course will enable the students to critically assess a case, prepare the witness and clients, conduct relevant researches, and present cogent arguments for persuading the IRB member.

SCSIC 105: Refugee Class   

This course will help the student explore the complex refugee system of Canada, know the definition of refugee, and understand the role of the immigration consultant while representing the client’s refugee claims. It will allow the students to follow five refugee claimants going through different stages of their applications. The students will do client interviews, prepare for appeals and hearings, present evidence and testimony, and help in preparing rebuttal arguments. The ultimate goal of all these activities will be conferring the refugee status to the client. 

CSIC 106: Business Ethics and Professional Prospectus

This course will help the students to learn the practices of the immigration consultant. The students will read about the ICCRC regulatory policies and subjects related to business development and management in context to the immigration consultants. They will prepare a formal business plan which the instructor will assess. 

CSIC 107: Canadian Immigration Law and Policy reviews and Updates

This course will cover all the topics of the previous sessions based on which the ICCRC Full Skills Exam (FSE) will take place. Guide and strategies for FSE and resources for IRPA and IRPR will also be provided. The quizzes and the final exams are specifically created targeting FSE.
